God's Word is Forever Settled

Rev. Tse Amable | Sunday, June 28, 2026 | Romans 3:1–8

KEY VERSE: “Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: ‘So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.’”_ (Romans 3:4, NIV)

MESSAGE:

One piece of evidence that the Bible is God’s Word is the harmony of Scripture. Throughout the Bible, one passage confirms and explains another. In Romans 3, Apostle Paul demonstrates that Israel’s unbelief could not nullify the reliability of God’s promises. To support this truth, he quotes Psalm 51:4 from the Old Testament.

There is a popular saying among Christians: “God said it, I believe it, that settles it.” While this expresses confidence in God, Scripture presents an even stronger truth. Once the Lord has spoken, His Word stands forever, whether people believe it or not. The Bible declares, “Forever, O LORD, your word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89, NKJV).

If God says one thing and every person says another, God remains true, and every human opinion proves false. God always speaks the truth and cannot lie. Because He is unchanging, His Word is also unchanging. We are called to believe God’s truth even when it is unpopular or rejected by society. When culture celebrates ideas or practices that contradict God’s Word, they do not become right because they gain widespread acceptance. Let God be true, and every man a liar.

FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE:

When secular principles clash with the Word of God, where do you stand? Are you willing to stand with God even when His truth is unpopular? The opinion of the majority does not determine what is right. Search the Scriptures, know what God says, and stand firmly on His unchanging Word.

PRAYER:

Lord, I thank You that Your Word remains true and Your saving work is never without effect. Strengthen Your church to proclaim the gospel faithfully, and continue to confirm Your Word as many come to faith in Jesus Christ. In His mighty name I pray. Amen.

THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING.

SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!

The 365 DAILY BIBLE READING

DAILY word study: TRUE The word translated "true" comes from the Greek alēthēs (ἀληθής), which denotes someone or something genuine, trustworthy, dependable, and fully in harmony with reality.

When Paul declares, "Let God be true," he is affirming that God is the ultimate standard of truth. His character cannot change, His promises cannot fail, and His Word does not become true because people believe it. It is true because it comes from God, who cannot lie.

Reflect on this:

When opinions around you conflict with God's Word, let His truth remain the final authority for your life. Trust what God has spoken, and stand on it with confidence.
