No Accusation, No Condemnation

KEY VERSE: “Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” — Romans 8:33–34
MESSAGE:
Paul continues the assurance of Romans 8 by asking two powerful questions: Who can successfully accuse those whom God has justified? Who can condemn those for whom Christ died and rose again? Our security rests on God’s justification, Christ’s finished work and His continuing intercession.
No accusation can stand against God’s elect. Satan, people and even our own conscience may remind us of our failures, but no accusation can overturn God’s verdict over those who are in Christ. “It is God who justifies.” The highest Judge has declared us righteous through faith in Christ. Our confidence rests in God’s grace.
Christ died for our sins and rose again, securing victory over sin and condemnation. Those who are in Christ stand secure in His saving work.
Jesus is at the right hand of God and “is interceding for us.” Our Saviour continues to represent His people before the Father. When we are weak, accused or struggling, we can rest in Christ, who died for us, rose for us and continues to intercede for us.
FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE:
When accused or discouraged, look to Christ. Confess sin when you fall, receive God’s forgiveness, and continue faithfully in Him. Remember that God has justified you, and Christ died, rose and continues to intercede for you.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You that You have justified me through Christ. Thank You that Jesus died, rose again and continues to intercede for me. Help me walk confidently in Your grace and remain faithful to Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 263 Ezekiel 3–5 — Called to Speak, Warn and Remain Faithful
DAILY word study: JUSTIFIES The word is “justifies.” In Greek, it is dikaioō. Romans 8:33 says, “It is God who justifies.” This word carries the force of a courtroom declaration.
Dikaioō means to declare righteous, to acquit, or to pronounce someone right before the law. Paul uses it to show that God Himself has issued the decisive verdict over those who belong to Christ.
Some translations render the idea as “declares righteous.” This helps bring out the legal sense behind the word. The strength of this verse lies in who gives the verdict. God is the Judge. If He has justified you through Christ, no accusation has higher authority than His declaration.
