KEY VERSE: “Through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:2, NKJV)
MESSAGE:
Grace is more than God’s unmerited favour. It is the place of acceptance in which every believer stands because of Jesus Christ. Paul explains that through Christ, we have gained access by faith into this grace. Sin once separated us from God, but Jesus opened the way for us to come into His presence as people who have been forgiven and received.
Many believers struggle with feelings of inadequacy and fear that they are not good enough for God. Romans 5:2 directs our attention to Christ. We stand before God because Jesus has opened the way. Every prayer we offer, every act of worship, and every step of obedience flows from the grace we have received through Him.
Standing in grace also gives us hope. Our confidence rests on God’s faithfulness and on the glory He has prepared for His people. We do not need to return to a life of spiritual striving or constant fear of rejection. We can draw near to God, depend on His strength, and continue walking with Him in faith. When you understand where you stand, hope begins to shape the way you live.
FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE:
Remind yourself today that you stand in God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Approach God with confidence in prayer, worship Him with gratitude, and trust Him with the concerns you carry. Let your hope rest on His faithfulness rather than on your ability to perform perfectly.
PRAYER:
Gracious Father, thank You for giving me access to Your grace through Jesus Christ. Thank You that my standing before You rests on what Christ has done. Help me to draw near to You with confidence, walk in obedience, and rejoice in the hope of Your glory. Teach me to depend on Your faithfulness each day and to live with gratitude for the grace I have received. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING.
SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
The 365 DAILY BIBLE READING
DAILY word study: ACCESS The word translated “access” comes from the Greek word prosagōgē. It describes being brought near, introduced, or admitted into the presence of someone.
In Romans 5:2, Jesus is the One who brings us into God’s grace. We do not force our way into God’s presence or earn the right to stand before Him. Christ opens the way, and through faith we are welcomed into a secure relationship with God.
This access gives us confidence to pray, worship, and depend on God each day.
Reflect on this:
Approach God today with gratitude and confidence because Jesus has opened the way for you.
