KEY VERSE: “But the free gift is not like the offence. For if by the one man’s offence many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.” — Romans 5:15
MESSAGE:
Paul presents the far-reaching effects of Adam’s offence and the abundant grace that came through Jesus Christ. Adam’s disobedience brought sin and death into the human family. Through Christ, God offered the free gift of justification and eternal life to all who receive the abundance of His grace by faith. The saving work of Christ reaches beyond the damage caused by Adam’s fall and gives believers a new standing before God.
Many people continue to carry the guilt of past sins after turning to Christ. They remember their failures and question whether God has fully forgiven them. Romans 5:15 directs our hearts to the greatness of God’s gift. Christ carried the judgment our sins deserved and secured complete forgiveness through His death and resurrection. God’s grace gives us peace with Him, freedom from condemnation, and new life in Christ.
God’s grace is sufficient for every sin you bring to Him in repentance and faith. Some earthly consequences of past choices may remain, yet your position before God has changed through Christ. You are forgiven, accepted, and covered by His righteousness. Receive this truth with gratitude. Let the grace you have received shape the way you forgive, show mercy, and relate to others.
FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE:
Thank God today for the grace that has forgiven your past and given you a new standing in Christ. Bring every lingering burden of guilt before Him and rest in the completeness of Christ’s saving work. Extend forgiveness and mercy to someone, remembering the grace God has freely given you.
PRAYER:
Gracious Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Thank You that Your grace is abundant and sufficient for every failure in my life. Help me live in the freedom of Your forgiveness and trust the completeness of Christ’s saving work. Make me a channel of grace, mercy, and forgiveness to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
