- God is a just rewarder
Rev. Enoch Thompson | June 30, 2023 | Matthew 20:1-16 KEY VERSE: ¹³But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius? ¹⁴Take your pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as I gave you. ¹⁵Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?' Matthew 20:13-15 (NIV) MESSAGE: The last chapter (chapter 19) has been loaded with questions about wealth, inheritance, and the benefits from a disciplined discipleship life. The Lord takes the discussion further by giving an insight into God's rewarding system. God is the owner of all there is and rewards His worshippers according to His will. In the earlier discussion, the Lord Jesus had indicated that there will be rewards here on earth and given the assurance of life forevermore with God (glory be to God!). Within this broad framework of rewards, God determines when, how and to what extent He rewards individuals in this life. We are saved by grace and live to fulfil the assigned good works we were made to do (Eph. 2:10), but we must wait for God's timing and His choice of our blessings. We must not expect God to bless all of us the same way He has chosen to bless someone else. We may put out our good desires to the Master and Shepherd of our souls, we are invited to do so when we pray. But we must let God be God. We must accept God’s verdict of what we are deserving of and be grateful. When we do otherwise, we insult the wisdom and goodness of God and attempt to tell Him we know better than He does. FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE: Do you feel jealous because someone is blessed differently from you, and you wish you had received the person’s blessings? No, there must be no room for brotherly/ sisterly jealousy. Trust the wisdom of God and the goodness of His heart towards you, to give you just what is good and right. PRAYER: Sovereign King, I confess any jealousy towards any other person’s blessings. Lord, I now declare that I trust your wisdom, your goodness, and your faithfulness to position me at the right place and to bless me just right. For your dear Name’s sake, Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING. SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- After sacrifice comes glory
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 29, 2023 | Matthew 19:28-30 KEY VERSE: And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. Matthew 19:29 (NIV) MESSAGE: Jesus assures his disciples of the reward that awaits them if they sacrifice themselves and everything to diligently follow him. He also assures them of the Glory that awaits them in the kingdom that is to come, where He reigns as King. He promises they will reign with Him in His glory. Jesus did not only promise them glory in the hereafter, or in the kingdom that is to come, but he also assured them of receiving a hundredfold of what they have given up to follow Him. They would receive restoration in multiple folds, what they have had to offload to be his disciples here on earth in this life, before inheriting eternal life in the kingdom to come. These words should be very assuring for the disciples of Jesus to make them want to follow more earnestly and diligently for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. This is evidenced by the life they lived after Jesus departed the earth and ascended into heaven; a life dedicated to serving the cause of the kingdom of God. Jesus makes another statement at the end of the chapter that sets the tone for the parable that followed in the next chapter. But many who are first will be last, and the last first. Those who have lost the most on earth to follow Jesus in this life will receive eternal rewards alongside those who sacrificed much less by comparison. Meaning not all rewards will be the same but none shall have cause to think God is unfair. FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE: You may not be seeing the results of your sacrificial service for the sake of Christ in sight now but serve with joy. With the hope of the Glory to come and the blessings here on earth. Serve diligently and faithfully, and if you do not give up, the glory will break forth in due time. God assures it. Christ in you, the Hope of Glory. PRAYER: Dear lord Jesus, in the midst of the challenges in serving you, I look to you. Help me to serve you diligently to the very end. For your dear name’s sake. Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- Everyone needs assurance
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 28, 2023 | Matthew 19:27 KEY VERSE: Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us? Matthew 19:27 (NIV) MESSAGE: Having listened to the statements of Jesus and following the discussion with the rich young man, and understanding what the focus of Jesus’ lesson for the day was, Peter had to react. Peter is known for being quick-tempered and unable to control his feelings or hide his emotions. He is usually the one who would be the mouthpiece of the other disciples, to voice out to Jesus what the group was thinking or discussing. Even though, most times the master already knew their thoughts and addressed them before they had the opportunity to bring them out into the open. This time also, Peter did not disappoint; as the spokesperson for the others, and as the one to confront the situation, He spoke; “see, we have left everything to follow you, what then will there be for us?” In other words, if you say people who have possession and trust in their possessions would have to leave everything behind and follow you before they can enter the kingdom of heaven, we also had things we trusted in which were our possession, but we have left all that to follow you. What are we also gaining by following you, what is there for us? Will we also be required to off-load anything else before we can enter the kingdom of God? Because we have nothing left to off-load. There are times in our Christian journey when we ask similar questions to the ones Peter was asking Jesus. Especially when things do not seem to be going well as expected after sacrificing ourselves for the cause of Christ and standing for Him when we could have taken an easier (but ungodly) way out. We question our decision to answer the call and to follow Christ when we go into some hardship or some prolonged persecution at the peril of our self-image and even our very lives. Child of God, it is ok to ask questions because we are human, and we sometimes feel left out there by ourselves when times get tough. Jesus asked a question on the cross at the peak of his humanity; my God my God, why have you forsaken me? So, it’s okay to feel helpless and left out and ask questions, it’s human. FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE: When you feel down and out. When you feel left out or abandoned. When questions cloud your thoughts, and you fail in getting answers. Know that He says, He will be with you to the very end of the age. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Be rest assured that He has good plans for you and thinks good thoughts towards you. Find assurance in His word. PRAYER: Dear heavenly father, I believe in your word. Help me to trust in your assurance and hold on to your word, to guide me through this life. For your dear name’s sake. Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- Off-load to enter
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 27, 2023 | Matthew 19:23-26 KEY VERSE: But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 (NIV) MESSAGE: We saw the young man who left Jesus’ presence troubled by what Jesus had asked him to do; to sell all his possessions and give the money to the poor. He indeed had great wealth and was very much attached to his wealth, making it very difficult to let it go, and come to follow Jesus. In today’s text, Jesus makes another statement, that, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Then, He also said, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. The interpretation of what the “eye of the needle” means here is key to understanding Jesus’s comparison. Again, the context in which these statements were made can also not be overlooked. The eye of the needle is a narrow gate in Jerusalem (some believe the same was also found in Damascus), and since camels were usually heavily loaded with goods and riders, they would have to be unloaded before they can pass through that gate. A rich man who has his heart in his possessions would also have to offload his weight of trusting in his possessions before entering the kingdom of heaven. So, Jesus was saying that we can easily unload or off-load camels for them to enter that small and narrow gate, but it will be extremely difficult for a rich man who trusts in his riches to remove his trust from his riches to trust in God (Jesus) and enter the kingdom of God. Jesus said sell your possessions and come and follow me. (Matt 19:21) But then he said, though it is difficult it is possible. As hard and as difficult as it may seem, it is possible with God. For with God, all things are possible. FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE What seems to be that thing that is preventing you from having the joy of your salvation? What is that thing that seems impossible to surmount and is hindering your intimacy with God? Is there some besetting sin you have tried many times to overcome unsuccessfully? Do you feel like it is impossible to have intimacy with God? OFF-LOAD IT ONTO JESUS AND ENTER INTO HIS REST. PRAYER Heavenly Father, help me to see Jesus as my helper and burden bearer to find rest in Him. For your dear name’s sake. Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- Which marking scheme are you using
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 26, 2023 | Matthew 19:16-22 KEY VERSE: When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Matthew 19:22 (NIV) MESSAGE: A young rich man came to Jesus boldly and ask him a question he thought he already had answers to. Before asking Jesus the question, I am sure this young man had already weighed himself against the ten commandments and felt he had scored some good marks on all fronts. He was assured of eternal life by his standards. His scorecard had placed him at an advantage over a lot of people he grew up with. Having kept the commandments from his boyhood, he was way ahead on his way to eternal life. So, the question to Jesus; “...what good things must I do to have eternal life”, was to check whether what his balanced scorecard was saying was what it was, and Jesus just had to confirm. Guess what, the master has a beautiful way of bursting people’s bubbles and teaching them very valuable lessons about what is essential. And he does that by starting with what they already know. In this case, “You can receive eternal life if you keep the commandments,” he said. Then He hits where it hurts our ego and self, after keeping all the commandments like you say you already do, now “go sell all you have and give the money to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me.” That would really hurt his ego. But it will only hurt if you have not completely yielded to the Lordship of Jesus as a follower. Our key verse for today says the young man was troubled because he had great possessions. FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE As a follower of Jesus, are you marking yourself by Jesus’ standards or do you have your marking scheme? Are you following with your heart looking into the kingdom or your heart is with your possessions here on earth? If you lose every possession, will you still follow Jesus? What is taking your attention, eternal life with Jesus or your possession here on earth? PRAYER Dear Lord Jesus, help me to yield completely to you. To follow dearly and seek your kingdom earnestly. Please help me set my heart daily on eternal life and not on earthly possessions. For your dear name’s sake. Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- Value the children they teach us child-like faith.
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 25, 2023 | Matthew 19:13-15 KEY VERSE: Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14 (NIV) MESSAGE: Jesus never failed to seize an opportunity on everyday issues, to teach his disciples and the crowds, important lessons about the kingdom of Heaven. Because the people saw him around, they were bringing their children for him to touch and bless them. I believe this was an everyday thing when Jesus was in town; parents brought their children for him to touch them. Even though this will be a regular feature in his day, it could only happen when the disciples permitted it, since they always had to deal with the thronging crowds around Jesus. I am sure it was a “full-time” job controlling the crowds and could be very tiring, which explains why they felt the children were a nuisance. In many of our churches today, the children are an afterthought, not to talk of even having a children’s department which will properly cater for the needs of the children who attend church with their parents and guardians. A lot of us behave just like the disciples of Jesus did, so let us not go off judging them. The children have always been important to Jesus, and He demonstrated that by the way he granted them unhindered access to him amidst the overflowing crowds. How much have you invested in the Children’s ministry of your church? How much do you value the caregivers and teachers of your children in your church? In the account of Mark and Luke on this event (Mark 10:13-16 and Luke 18: 15-17), Jesus went further to explain our key verse for today. In Mark 10:15 and Luke 18:17, Jesus said unless we receive the kingdom of God with the faith of a little child, we will by no means enter it. Children believe whatever you tell them, and they are always expectant that you are who you say you are and will do everything you have promised them you will do. FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE We must have faith like a child, to accept the kingdom of God with all the promises that come with it. We must have a child-like faith to believe who Jesus says he is, and all that he promises the kingdom of God represents. We must accept Jesus, practice the principles, and obey the laws he presents of the Kingdom of God to enter the Kingdom. PRAYER Dear Heavenly Father may your kingdom come. Help me to receive your Kingdom like a little child. Help me to live by the principles and laws of the kingdom. And help me to represent your kingdom here on earth. For your dear name’s sake. Amen. - Different circumstances, different journeys but the same destination
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 24, 2023 | Matthew 19:10-12 KEY VERSE: Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word but only those to whom it has been given. Matthew 19:11 (NIV) MESSAGE: Following the discussion in the earlier verses on the issue of divorce and remarriage, the disciples of Jesus concluded that it is better not to marry; to avoid all this “trouble.” However, Jesus had to quickly put the discussion in perspective, and he made them understand that it is not a one-size-fits-all situation when it comes to a person getting married or not. He also had to again refocus their minds on the main thing; The kingdom of Heaven. In other words, whether one marries or not, the focus is whether that decision will help further the cause of the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth or not. It may surprise you to know that some cultures do not even have any form of cohabitation and shared responsibility that resembles marriage at all and therefore cannot be bothered with issues concerning divorce and remarriage. Musuo of South China, Nyimbe of Tibet and Nyar of India are examples of tribes of such cultures. Even, in societies and cultures where marriage is practised, there could be some who decide to go celibate and not marry, and they live their lives with that choice. They accept that stance and expect all to respect that. All people cannot be the same, doing the same things and having the same ideologies. The world would be a very boring place to live in if that was the case. Yet, all these must allure in favour of furthering the Kingdom of Heaven. So, Jesus was pointing out that, the reason why these choices and predispositions would make sense and be relevant is if they are for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Matt 19:12c “for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven.” FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE We all have different assignments here on earth, which places us in different circumstances. We are all on different journeys and paths to serving God’s purposes for our lives. Find your purpose and accept it; then you will be able to understand and accept the circumstances in which you find yourself and therefore make the most of it. All our journeys and circumstances must end in advancing the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. PRAYER Heavenly Father, thank you for your word to me today. Help me by your Holy Spirit to find your purpose for my life and guide me to make decisions that will help me to achieve your purpose for my life. For your dear name’s sake. Amen. - The first point of call
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 23, 2023 | Matthew 19:3-9 KEY VERSE: Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate Matthew 19:6b (NIV) MESSAGE: We see here again in the text that the Pharisees as usual came to test Jesus, with a question on marriage and divorce. One could probably think that they wanted Jesus to validate something they were already practising. Many times, when Jesus is asked questions of this nature, His source of solution is to go to the original source of all things, The Word. He quoted the scriptures and often referred to them to provide answers to diffuse any tensions and agitations His questioners may desire to create. We realise that when they asked him questions about Divorce and the Divorce certificate by Moses, He always took them back to the scriptures. Matt 19:8c “…but it was not this way from the beginning." Often, we are tempted to give a human reference or some secondary reference in answer to challenges and problems we face. And that is a natural response of the natural man; after all, Adam blamed Eve for eating the fruit and Eve blamed the serpent. Nobody referenced what God actually said about eating the fruit. The problem is that we do not easily make the word of God our reference point and our starting point to address life challenges. It is usually the last resort and not the first point of call. We are likely to first apply human wisdom before considering the wisdom of God in almost all situations. It requires a conscious and intentional effort to always make the word of God one’s primary source of reference when we are pressed to decide about anything that borders life and the spiritual walk with God. FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE The Word of God is our sole and final authority when it comes to understanding matters of Christianity and Spirituality. Your reference and final information for taking major decisions about Spirituality and the Christian walk should be the word of God. Get intentional and get studying. PRAYER Dear Heavenly Father, I desire to know your word. Please help me to study it and know it enough to make it my reference when confronted with major decisions in my walk with you. For Your dear name’s sake. Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- Persistence
Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | June 22, 2023 | Matthew 19:1-2 KEY VERSE: Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there. Matthew 19:2 (NIV) MESSAGE: Jesus after teaching the people with parables, left and headed towards the place beyond the Jordan. According to recent bible maps, this journey is about 245 kilometres, which is quite a distance to travel on foot. It is estimated to be a 7-hour drive by bus and a 3 to 4-day journey on foot. The crowds that followed Jesus from Galilee to beyond the Jordan would comprise all sorts of people who needed a miracle of healing from the master. Some had to travel with him through the 4 days carrying their sick and demon-possessed, night and day persistently following. There could be times when the disciples of Jesus played the role of “bodyguards” and tried to ward off some of the people to prevent or dissuade them from tagging along. Yet still most of the people kept following. They journeyed along until they had received what they came for. Many times, in our lives and Christian journey, we would have felt like turning back from something we so badly wanted when we started the journey. Occasionally, when it is not forthcoming, we feel like giving up. Most likely after a long period of fasting and prayer has been invested in the effort to reach that goal. Those who followed Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan would have felt like giving up amidst all the challenges they would likely face throughout the 4-day journey. However, our key verse makes us understand that their steadfastness in continuing to follow Jesus paid off. Matthew 19:2b says “…and He healed them there.” FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE There is always a price to pay for what you are looking for and there is always a mindset you must have to be able to reach the goal you seek to achieve. Are you willing to stay close with Jesus long enough and follow Him diligently and faithfully for what you are looking for? Your persistence and consistency in the face of trials and adversity will yield results in due time if you do not give up. Remember He rewards those who earnestly/diligently seek Him. PRAYER Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to be diligent in following Jesus. Please help me to emulate Christ’s consistency in the life He lived here on earth. For your dear name’s sake. Amen. - Demonstrate gratitude for God's mercy
Rev. Charles Oppong-Poku | June 21, 2023 | Matthew 18:28-35 KEY VERSE: ³²“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. ³³Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ Matthew. 18:32-33 (NIV) THE MESSAGE: The story of the wicked and ungrateful servant in Matthew 18:32-33 serves as a reminder of the extravagant forgiveness we have received from God and our responsibility to extend that forgiveness to others. In this passage, a servant who owed a significant debt pleaded for patience and mercy from his master. Astonishingly, the master forgave the entire debt, but despite being forgiven a colossal debt, the servant in the parable encountered a fellow servant who owed him a much smaller amount. Rather than extending mercy, he displayed a lack of gratitude by demanding immediate payment. With no mercy or compassion, the ungrateful servant denied his fellow servant’s plea for forgiveness. Then, he cast him into prison until he could pay the debt (Matt. 18:30). When the other servants saw this, they informed their lord the king. The servant had been forgiven so much, but it had not changed him. He demonstrated that he had forgotten about the forgiveness he had received. We are never told of his thanking the king for his compassion, mercy, and forgiveness of his debt. Nor do we read of any sense of gratitude demonstrated. Despite having received a monumental act of forgiveness himself, he failed to understand the significance of extending forgiveness to others. His ungratefulness is evident in his actions. He disregarded the immense favour bestowed upon him by his master, demonstrating a lack of appreciation for the mercy he had received. The ungrateful servant's failure to forgive resulted in severe judgment from the master. The master, upon hearing of the ungrateful servant’s behaviour, responded with righteous judgement. He revoked the servant’s forgiveness and handed him over to be tormented until he repaid his entire debt. FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE: This message challenges us to examine our hearts and consider whether we truly appreciate and understand the depth of God's forgiveness. The parable challenges us to respond to God's forgiveness with gratitude and a transformed heart. Recognizing the depth of our forgiven debts should move us to extend forgiveness and grace to those around us. We should strive to treat others with the same kind of mercy and grace we have received from God. As a result, we can be agents of transformation in our communities by living out the love of God. PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the forgiveness You have lavished upon me through Jesus Christ. Lord, I confess that at times I have struggled to fully comprehend and appreciate the forgiveness I have received. Forgive me for my lack of gratitude and my failure to extend that same forgiveness to others. Fill my heart with a deep sense of thankfulness for Your unmerited grace. May my life be a testimony to Your transformative power and Your boundless forgiveness. I pray all this in the name of Jesus, who taught us to forgive as we have been forgiven. Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING. SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- The King cancelled my debt and set me free
Rev. Charles Oppong-Poku | June 20, 2023 | Matthew 18:23-27 KEY VERSE: The servant’s master took pity on him, cancelled the debt and let him go. Matthew 18:27 (NIV) MESSAGE: After responding to the disciples’ question on who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus began to teach them forgiveness and says that we must forgive seventy times seven times. It is in this context that He now speaks the parable in Matthew 18:23-27. It tells the story of a servant who owed an enormous debt to his master, a debt that was impossible for him to repay. As the servant pleaded for mercy, the master moved with compassion, not only forgiving the debt entirely but also releasing him from the burden of his obligation. This parable serves as a powerful reminder of the redemptive power of God through His grace and mercy. The image of the servant in this parable represents the fallen humanity, burdened by the weight of sin, and separated from God. The debt of sin is insurmountable, and on our own, we are utterly incapable of making amends or reconciling with the Creator. But just as the master in the parable responded with grace and mercy, so does our heavenly Father. He sees our desperate situation and, moved with compassion, offers us complete forgiveness and total freedom from the chains of sin. Sin separates us from God, and the consequences of our actions demand justice. It is only by recognizing the magnitude of our debt that we can fully appreciate the incredible gift of grace offered to us by our Master. The response of the master in the parable reveals the compassionate nature of our heavenly Father. Despite the servant's inability to repay, the master forgives the entire debt out of sheer compassion and love. Likewise, God, in His infinite mercy, extends forgiveness to us through Jesus Christ, His Son. This act of forgiveness is not based on our merit or worthiness but on God's gracious character. When the servant's debt was forgiven, he was set free from the burden that weighed him down. In the same way, when we ask for God's forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ, we experience deliverance from guilt, shame, and the power of sin. Through Jesus' sacrificial death and resurrection, we are reconciled with God and granted the opportunity for restoration and renewal. We are invited into a new life, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to live in obedience and love. FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE: How do you see yourself in the mirror of this parable? Are you still struggling with the burden of sin, not knowing what to do? Jesus, the Master, paid it all and it is as though it had never been. It is erased! It is marked paid in full! He invites you today to come to Him. Come to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness, and He will not only forgive you but will also set you free from sin’s power and its consequences. Are you a Christian who has fallen into sin? Come to Him with a humble heart for He is still the merciful and gracious saviour. He will forgive and cleanse you from every unrighteousness. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank you for your love for me that led you to the cross and died for me. I come to you today and ask for forgiveness and deliverance. Please cleanse me from every sin and set me free from the bondage of sin and help me to live a victorious life as a citizen of your Kingdom. For Your dear Name’s sake. Amen. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING. SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!
- Forgive as God forgives you
Rev. Charles Oppong-Poku | June 19, 2023 | Matthew 18:21-22 KEY VERSE: Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. Matthew 18:22 (NIV) MESSAGE Forgiveness lies at the heart of the Christian faith. It is a transformative act that reflects the boundless grace and mercy we have received from God. In Matthew 18:21-22, Jesus teaches us about the nature of forgiveness and challenges us to forgive those who hurt or wrong us. This devotional study highlights the profound truth of forgiving as God forgives, inviting us to reflect on the depths of forgiveness and its implications for our relationships and spiritual growth. The passage begins with Peter asking Jesus, "Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?" (verse 21 NKJV) The key verse captures Jesus' response to Peter's question, where He says, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven." (verse 22 NKJV). In essence, Jesus is teaching us to extend limitless forgiveness to others. Just as God's forgiveness is boundless, we are called to forgive repeatedly, without keeping a record of wrongs. Forgiving as God forgives brings transformation to our lives and relationships. When we choose to forgive, we release the burden of resentment, bitterness, and anger. Forgiveness opens the door to healing, reconciliation, and restoration. Forgiving as God forgives is an ongoing journey that requires humility, grace, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. It may involve forgiving those who have hurt us deeply, as well as extending forgiveness to ourselves. Forgiving as God forgives brings freedom, healing, and restoration. Take time to examine your relationships and consider if there are any areas to seek forgiveness or extend it to others. FEET AND HANDS OF THE MESSAGE: Consider the areas in your life where forgiveness may be challenging, and ask God to empower you to extend His forgiveness to those who have hurt or wronged you. Meditate on the freedom and peace that come with forgiveness. As followers of Christ, we are called to forgive as God forgives us. Reflect on the immeasurable depths of God's forgiveness in your own life and allow His love to inspire and empower you to extend that same forgiveness to others. PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for the immeasurable depths of your forgiveness for me. Please empower me to extend your forgiveness to those who have hurt or wronged me. May I walk in Your footsteps, imitating Your forgiveness, and become an agent of reconciliation and grace in a broken world. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen! THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING. SHOWERS!
