Rev. Tetteh-Annor Larbi | Sunday, July 12, 2026 | Romans 5:1

KEY VERSE: Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1, NIV)

MESSAGE:

Justification is one of the greatest gifts God has given to those who believe in Jesus Christ. Paul declares that those who have been justified through faith now have peace with God. This peace describes a restored relationship with Him. Sin placed humanity under God’s righteous judgment, but Jesus bore our guilt through His sacrifice on the cross. Through Christ, the believer now stands forgiven, accepted, and reconciled to God.

Many people spend their lives trying to gain God’s approval through good works, religious activities, or personal achievements. Romans 5:1 directs our attention to what Christ has accomplished. Jesus opened the way for us to approach God with confidence, gratitude, and reverence. Our standing before God rests on His saving work, and every act of prayer, worship, and obedience flows from the grace we have received.

Peace with God gives the believer firm assurance. When we fall into sin, we should confess it, turn back to God, and renew our walk of obedience. Our hope remains anchored in Christ and the work He completed for our salvation. Let this peace shape your worship, guide your decisions, and influence the way you relate to others. Live each day as one who has been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ.

FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE:

Rest today in what Christ has accomplished for you. When guilt, fear, or accusation arises, examine your heart honestly, confess any known sin, and remember that your acceptance before God comes through Jesus Christ. Walk in peace, gratitude, and obedience, knowing that you have been forgiven and reconciled to God.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of justification through Jesus Christ. Thank You for reconciling me to Yourself and giving me peace with You. Help me to live with confidence in Christ’s saving work. Lead me to confess my sins, walk in obedience, and extend Your peace to others. Let my worship, choices, and relationships reflect gratitude for the grace I have received. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING.

SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!

The 365 DAILY BIBLE READING

DAILY word study: PEACE The word translated “peace” comes from the Greek word eirēnē, which carries the sense of harmony, wholeness, and a restored relationship.

In Romans 5:1, Paul speaks about peace with God. Sin had separated humanity from God, but through Jesus Christ, that broken relationship has been restored. The believer now stands reconciled, accepted, and free from condemnation.

This peace rests on Christ’s finished work. It gives you confidence to draw near to God, worship Him, and walk in obedience.

Reflect on this:

Live today with the assurance that through faith in Jesus Christ, you are at peace with God.
