Your Destiny Helper is at the Door Waiting to Come in

Rev. Tse Amable | October 8 2024 | John 18:15-16

KEY VERSE:

“but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, SPOKE TO THE GIRL ON DUTY THERE AND BROUGHT PETER IN.” John 18:16 (NIV)

MESSAGE:

In our lives on earth, the Lord has prepared and positioned some people who are our destiny helpers. They come into our lives at the right time and help us to fulfil our assignments without much struggle. When Joseph was in prison in Egypt, he met his DESTINY HELPER in the person of PHARAOH’S BUTLER. It was this man who spoke to Pharaoh about Joseph which resulted in the release of Joseph from prison to become the Prime Minister of Egypt (see Genesis 41:9-14). When Moses was a fugitive running away from justice in the wilderness, he met his DESTINY HELPER in the person of RUEL (JETHRO) who took him into his house and even gave one of his daughters to him in marriage (see Exodus 2:15-21).

When Jesus Christ was being tried before Annas (the High Priest who played key roles in the execution of Jesus Christ and the persecution of the early church), Simon Peter could not enter the house and had to wait outside. But there was a disciple who was connected – he was known to the High Priest. (“WHO YOU KNOW” did not start today.) This unnamed disciple went and spoke to the girl on duty and Simon Peter was promptly allowed to enter the house.

There is a DESTINY HELPER prepared and positioned by the Lord to assist you to be where you must be in life, to do and to accomplish your destiny assignment. Relax, wait on the Lord and be sensitive to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit. Your destiny helper is at your door and about to enter. You will not miss him or her.

FEET AND HANDS FOR THE MESSAGE:

Are you in a place or situation where you need someone who can and must connect you to the person who holds the key to the door you are knocking on? Do you believe that God can bring your destiny helper at the appropriate time?

PRAYER:

Lord, I need you to help me accomplish what you have destined me to do here on earth. Send my destiny helpers who will give me what I must have or connect me to other destiny helpers. Position me at the right place and at the right time so I can meet my destiny helper. Amen!

THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING.

SHOWERS! BLESSINGS!!

DAILY word study: KNOWN The word "known" is derived from the Greek word γινώσκω (ginóskó), which means "to know," "to be aware of," or "to have knowledge of." It implies familiarity, recognition, or having an established relationship with someone.

The word "known" reflects how God uses relationships and connections to fulfil His purposes. This implies that being known by the right people at the right time can position believers for divine encounters and opportunities. Just as the disciple was known to the high priest and helped Peter gain access, God places "destiny helpers" in our lives—people who, because of their knowledge or position, can lead us closer to fulfilling our purpose. Reflections: How might the connections you have or the people you know play a role in fulfilling God’s plan for your life? Are you sensitive to how God may be using those relationships to open doors for you?
